Silicone softener is a highly effective fabric treatment agent that can significantly improve the softness, smoothness, antistatic and hydrophilic properties of fabrics. The following are the steps and precautions for the scientific use of silicone softener:
1. Preparation before use
Choose the appropriate model and concentration: According to the type of fabric and processing requirements, choose the appropriate silicone softener model and concentration.
Equipment inspection: Ensure that the processing equipment (such as immersion dyeing tank, pressure suction machine, etc.) operates normally and without leakage.
2. Usage method
Immersion dyeing method:
Immerse the fabric in a solution containing 3~5% (O.W.F) silicone softener.
Keep the temperature at 3040℃ and the soaking time at 1020 minutes.
Suitable for all types of fabrics.
Pressure suction method:
Place the dried fabric in a solution containing 20~30g/L (or adjusted according to the product manual) silicone softener.
Process it through a pressure suction machine to make the fabric evenly absorb the softener.
The drying temperature is adjusted according to the type of fabric, generally between 20 and 160°C.
Padding method:
Add an appropriate amount of water to the material tank, then add silicone oil, make it fully dissolved and dilute it with water.
The fabric is immersed in the softener solution through the padding machine, and then the excess solution is rolled off.
Suitable for continuous production.
3. Precautions
Temperature and time control: Strictly follow the temperature and time required by the product manual to ensure the best softening effect.
Fabric adaptability: Different types of fabrics have different absorption capacities for softeners, and the dosage and processing conditions need to be adjusted according to actual conditions.
Cleaning and finishing: After processing the fabric, carry out appropriate cleaning and finishing to avoid softener residues.
Storage conditions: Silicone softeners should be stored in a cool and ventilated place to avoid exposure and freezing.
The quality and market competitiveness of fabrics can be significantly improved by using silicone softeners scientifically.
