Bluestar Rhodorsil® Extrasoft C845: An Innovative Diamino Silicone Oil for Textile Finishing

Hits: 350 img

I. Core Product Characteristics and Physical Parameters
Bluestar Rhodorsil® Extrasoft C845, a diamino silicone oil, exhibits exceptional performance in the textile finishing field thanks to its unique molecular structure design. It is a colorless or light yellow viscous, slightly turbid liquid with a density of 0.972 g/cm³ and a kinematic viscosity of 4500 mm²/s at 25°C, exhibiting significant shear thinning effects. The product has a stable amine content of 4000 ppm ± 200 ppm, and its weakly cationic nature ensures high compatibility when formulating emulsions. It can form stable systems with solvents such as ethers, white oil, and trichloroethane, but direct contact with water, acetone, and ethanol should be avoided.

II. Process Innovation and Emulsion Preparation Technology
The core advantage of C845 lies in its groundbreaking emulsification process design. Using a secondary emulsification method, with C13[EO]6 fatty alcohol ethoxylate as the emulsifier and glacial acetic acid to adjust the pH, a transparent microemulsion with a particle size of ≤100 nm can be prepared. The specific formula is: 20% C845 base material, 0.32% glacial acetic acid, 8% surfactant, and 71.68% deionized water. High-pressure homogenization technology is used to achieve uniform micelle structure. This process results in an emulsion with a cloud point >90°C and a surface tension ≤25 mN/m, offering storage stability far exceeding industry standards, maintaining stable performance even in high-temperature and high-humidity environments. III. Application Performance and Industry Breakthroughs
In textile finishing, C845, with a silicone content of only 0.3%-1%, can endow fabrics with multiple functions: its exceptional softness improves the fabric's feel by more than 30%, and its directed molecular chain arrangement achieves a low yellowing effect, with a ΔE value ≤ 1.5 after high-temperature setting; its unique lubrication mechanism reduces the friction coefficient between sewing threads and fibers by 45%, significantly improving sewing efficiency; and its excellent drape and elastic recovery force increase the fabric's wrinkle recovery rate to 92%, making it particularly suitable for high-end suits, wedding dresses, and other applications with stringent deformation requirements. Furthermore, its synergistic effect with resin finishing agents can reduce the amount of softener needed by 40%, helping companies lower production costs.
