I. Softening Agent Series: Imparting Excellent Tactile Properties to Fabrics
WACKER CT45 and CT78 softeners are star products in the textile finishing field. Both use amino silicone oil as their core component, achieving differentiated functions through molecular structure design. CT45 is specifically designed for cotton fabrics and cotton/polyester blends. Its diamino structure allows for deep penetration into the fiber, forming a uniform silicone oil film layer, giving the fabric a super soft feel while improving sewing performance and tear strength, especially suitable for finishing close-fitting garments such as underwear and T-shirts. CT78 is developed for synthetic fibers. Its lateral amino groups and reactive chain ends work synergistically to enhance elasticity and improve moisture and stain resistance, widely used in sportswear, shirts, and other applications.
II. Environmentally Friendly Softeners: Innovative Practices for Sustainable Production
WACKER's WETSOFT® eco 810 LV, WACKER® FINISH eco WR 1100 LV, and WACKER® FINISH eco WR 1300 LV products have pioneered the application of biomethanol in the field of textile auxiliaries. By replacing petrochemical raw materials with plant-based methanol and calculating the carbon footprint of the production process using the biomass balance method, this series of products has obtained TÜV Nord REDcert2 certification. WETSOFT® eco 810 LV's self-dispersing structure ensures that absorbent fabrics (such as towels) maintain breathability while achieving a soft feel; WR 1100 LV and WR 1300 LV are optimized for synthetic and natural fibers respectively, improving moisture resistance while reducing microplastic pollution, aligning with the global textile industry's low-carbon transition trend.
III. Functional Silicone Oil Emulsions: Process-Adapted Customized Solutions
WACKER has developed a series of specialized emulsion products for different processing scenarios. Taking WACKER FINISH CT 45 CN as an example, its 40% solid content and cationic properties make it an ideal choice for cellulosic fiber fabrics such as corduroy and cotton yarn. Through padding application, it allows for efficient finishing with a low dosage of 10-20 g/L, resulting in a durable, oily, and smooth feel after drying at 130°C. When used in combination with acetic acid, the pick-up rate can be controlled at around 70%, significantly reducing energy consumption and wastewater discharge, making it a core additive for corduroy manufacturers to enhance product value.
