Bluesil C803, a Silicone Softener: An Innovative Application of Low-Yellowing Amino Silicone Oil

Hits: 296 img

I. Technical Positioning: A Domestic Breakthrough for Bluestar Group (formerly Rhodia)
Bluesil C803 is a domestically produced diamino silicone oil product developed by Bluestar Group after its acquisition of the French company Rhodia. Its core component is diamino polydimethylsiloxane, specifically designed for softening textiles. This product's core advantages are its low amine value (0.3) and low yellowing properties, solving the problem of traditional amino silicone oils easily yellowing under high temperatures or UV radiation. It is particularly suitable for finishing white and light-colored fabrics. Its technical specifications are comparable to high-end international products, but its price is more competitive, making it the preferred solution for domestic textile companies.

II. Performance Advantages: Multi-Dimensional Upgrade of Textile Finishing
Hand Feel Optimization: C803 forms stable hydrogen bonds with fibers through diamino groups, giving fabrics a smooth, soft, and full three-dimensional hand feel, while improving drape and elastic recovery rate. It is suitable for natural fibers such as cotton, linen, and silk, as well as synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon.
Low Yellowing Properties: With an amine value of only 0.3, the yellowing index is reduced by more than 60% compared to traditional amino silicone oils, meeting the stringent colorfastness requirements of high-end textiles.
Process Compatibility: Supports both padding (10-30g/L) and dyeing (1-5% OWF) processes, and can be completed at low temperatures of 30-40℃. It saves 40% more energy than traditional products and exhibits excellent wash resistance, retaining 85% of its initial softness after 50 standard washes.
Environmental Attributes: Compliant with OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT certification, VOC emission intensity is less than 0.5kg/ton, and the biodegradability reaches 68%, meeting global environmental standards.

III. Application Value: Building Competitiveness in the Global Market
C803 is packaged in standardized 200kg/drum packaging with a shelf life of 12 months, and has already captured a significant share of the global denim finishing market. Its low yellowing properties make it the preferred solution for finishing white and light-colored fabrics, especially in Southeast Asia, where it competes with fourth-generation products from Chinese companies such as Xingfa Group. Through localization, the C803 achieves foreign quality at domestic prices, helping domestic textile companies increase product added value and expand into high-end international markets.
